Dec. 4--Not as many radical changes today.
They worked very hard to manually trench out areas for the sprinklers, including making tunnels under the sidewalks. (This is our driveway.)
You don't realize how much property you have until you have to pay to irrigate it! They keep pulling out pieces of the previous system that have never worked in the 12 years we've lived here.
I didn't get a good "before" picture of this area. This is a patio section near the corner of the house with brick. Every time it rains heavily, water accumulates there. It has corroded the frame of our sliding glass window, and damaged the living room carpet over the years. Today they took those bricks out and will be laying drainage in that area. We had a rock area next to the house that they are clearing out, too, soon to be replaced with smaller rocks. :-)
